Damping material is a kind of material which can transform mechanical vibration energy or sound energy into heat energy and dissipate, and can prevent or reduce the damage of mechanical vibration to components. In Japan, the use of damping materials began in the early 1950s, mainly used for equipment, such as reducing the vibration of aircraft, reducing the sound leakage of submarine propeller, etc. In recent years, with the development of China's economic level, people have higher and higher requirements for the comfort of living environment, and the research and development of damping materials for vibration and noise reduction has attracted more and more attention from all walks of life.
The main technical specifications of damping materials are as follows:
High damping coefficient, loss factor Tan δ > 1, wide temperature range;
When Tan δ > 0.3, the effective temperature range is above 50 ℃.
Damping technology can be divided into the following four aspects: shockproof, vibration reduction, sound absorption and sound insulation. The main application fields are shown in Table 1.
